Charting a Course for the Future through Strategic Planning

$250.00

Dates: May 5 - June 1

Credits: 1.5 CEUs or 15 PDHs

Strategic planning is another element of leadership and management about which much has been written. In this course, you will explore strategic development from a user and empathy design perspective that engages all stakeholders in identifying challenges and participating in constructing a vision for the future. In addition, you will examine futures thinking as a strategy to help set a course for goals that are just within reach but which also help stretch existing notions of where the organization is headed. As part of this course, participants will:

  • Identify user and empathy-driven design as a way to promote active stakeholder engagement
  • Define a vision for an uncertain future that allows for flexibility through futures thinking
  • Create an implementation plan that combines longer-term goals and objectives with shorter-term project management tactics and measures to accomplish them
