Knowledge management (KM) is the application of theories, principles, methods, and practices designed to achieve organizational goals. Together we will explore strategies and best practices in KM, examine technologies and tools used for capturing and sharing knowledge, applying “lessons learned” to situations in your libraries/information centers. By the end of four weeks you will understand the issues, opportunities, and challenges of managing knowledge projects and workers, be able to build a knowledge strategy for your organization and design an effective knowledge management system and measure the success and impact of KM activities.
