But it takes a coordinated effort to make everyone feel valued and supported from the moment they enter the organization and throughout their entire career. This course will provide strategies for supporting employees from developing a recruitment strategy focused on diversity, onboarding, professional development, and career planning.

This course will provide strategies for supporting employees from developing a recruitment strategy focused on diversity, onboarding, professional development, and career planning. As part of this course participants will:

  • Create a recruitment plan and interview process focused on diversity
  • Develop a workforce planning strategy that takes a holistic look at maximizing human resources to address existing and future needs
  • Craft a plan for onboarding that goes beyond the basics to guide employees through their new organizational culture
  • Outline an employee development program that encompasses opportunities for promotion, training, and recognition
  • Establish an evaluation process that not only assesses performance retroactively, but looks ahead at career planning as a way to continually help employees grow

Cinthya Ippoliti

Cinthya IppolitiCinthya Ippoliti is the Auraria Library University Librarian and Director. In that role, she provides direct administrative leadership for library services, spaces, partnerships, and programming on the tri-institutional Auraria Campus, which serves the University of Colorado, Denver; Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver. In collaboration with the Library’s senior management team, she sets the library’s strategic vision to develop new services, foster creativity and collaboration, and provide professional development and mentorship for faculty, staff, and student assistants. Previously, Cinthya served as the Associate Dean for Research and Learning Services at the Oklahoma State University libraries, and Head of Teaching and Learning at the University of Maryland libraries. She is a graduate of the Leading Change Institute and the Harvard Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians.
