Leadership communication is a difficult and complex art form to master. This course will give you the tools you need in order to successfully navigate communication at all different levels from interpersonal to groups, as well as help frame difficult conversations. In addition, you will explore how to manage effective teams and highlight processes for decision-making and discussion that foster a shared perspective and promote a space where good questions can be asked, intentions are clear, and assumptions are tested. Cinthya Ippoliti is the Auraria Library University Librarian and Director. In that role, she provides direct administrative leadership for library services, spaces, partnerships, and programming on the tri-institutional Auraria Campus, which serves the University of Colorado, Denver; Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver. In collaboration with the Library’s senior management team, she sets the library’s strategic vision to develop new services, foster creativity and collaboration, and provide professional development and mentorship for faculty, staff, and student assistants. Previously, Cinthya served as the Associate Dean for Research and Learning Services at the Oklahoma State University libraries, and Head of Teaching and Learning at the University of Maryland libraries. She is a graduate of the Leading Change Institute and the Harvard Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians.
