Are you someone teaching information, digital, and data literacy sessions and want to make your instruction materials more accessible? This course will provide an introduction into building accessible instructional materials including designing outlines and PowerPoints for instruction sessions, embedded instruction, videos, and tutorials. This course is designed to provide a practical application into making materials accessible and will involve actively making changes to materials for assignments.

Course Description

This course will provide an introduction into building accessible instructional materials including designing outlines and PowerPoints for instruction sessions, embedded instruction, videos, and tutorials. This course is designed to provide a practical application into making materials accessible and will involve actively making changes to materials for assignments.

Samantha Peter

Samantha PeterSamantha Peter, MSIS is the chair of Research & Instruction and Instructional Design Librarian for the University of Wyoming Libraries. Samantha received her Bachelor’s in History from the University of Wyoming and Master’s of Science in Information Studies from the University of Texas. Her current research projects are Universal Design for Learning in libraries, accessibility within libraries, and OER.

Prior to the start of the workshop, we will send participants their login instructions.
