Credits: 1.5 CEUs or 15 PDHs
This course focuses on instructional roles within health sciences librarianship. Participants will explore adult learning theory, instructional design principles, curriculum integration strategies, and teaching approaches tailored to clinical, academic, and research audiences.
Topics include information literacy in the health sciences, evidence-based practice instruction, online and hybrid teaching modalities, assessment of learning outcomes, and collaboration with faculty and clinical educators.
Participants will examine instructional strategies for diverse health sciences audiences while also refining their own teaching philosophy, instructional design skills, and assessment practices. The course supports the development of both effective instruction for clinical and academic communities and a reflective, evidence-informed approach to one’s own teaching practice.
By the end of the course, learners will be prepared to design, deliver, and assess impactful instruction that supports both institutional goals and personal professional development.
