The course also introduces AI-assisted approaches to metadata and cataloging using tools like OpenRefine and Annif. With a strong emphasis on ethical use, transparency, and professional judgment, this course empowers librarians to confidently integrate AI while maintaining the values and trust at the core of librarianship.

Denielle Wells

Denielle Wells is a librarian, educator, artist, and technology advocate with over 17 years of experience teaching research strategies, digital literacy, and information management. Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, her career has taken her through Vancouver, BC managing her own library at Crofton House Senior School, and Seattle before settling in Orlando, where she focuses on helping libraries and their communities navigate emerging technologies like social media, artificial intelligence and more as an online educational content creator.

Prior to the start of the workshop, we will send participants their login instructions.
