Career Readiness and Resilience helps library, archives, and museum (LAM) professionals build the confidence, adaptability, and practical skills needed to navigate a changing professional landscape. Through guided activities and hands-on exploration of artificial intelligence (AI), participants will learn how to use AI responsibly and ethically to support career reflection, planning, and professional development.
In this four-week, fully asynchronous online course, you will identify your strengths, assess areas for growth, and develop practical strategies for adapting to workplace change, career transitions, and evolving professional opportunities. Whether you are exploring new directions, preparing for future opportunities, or reflecting on your long-term career goals, this course provides tools to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
No prior AI experience is required.

Lisa Cruces is an independent consultant specializing in academic libraries, archives, and organizational development. Previously, Cruces has held positions at the Harry Ransom Center, University of Notre Dame, the University of Houston, and Texas State University, as well as advisory roles for non-institutional community archives and BIPOC collectives. Cruces completed her master of science in Information Studies at the University of Texas at Austin with a focus in archives and special collections and is currently pursuing her MBA in Human Resource Management at Texas State University. Her research focuses on assessing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in academia and workplace settings.
