Valarie Lamoreaux

Valarie Lamoreaux is the Assistant Director at the Leavenworth Public Library. She supervises the patron experience staff, oversees the active daily operations of the Library and manages the collections. Valarie is a strong advocate for proactive collection management, which includes using data and local interest to influence development and weeding of collections. Valarie has a bachelors’ degree from Kansas State University and a Master’s of Library Science from Emporia State University. She has worked in multiple non-profit organizations, a specialized academic library and public libraries.
