Dates: April 5 - May 2Credits: 1.5 CEUs or 15 PDHs
From short videos introducing patrons to ebook platforms, to interactive tutorials helping students practice search strategies, to podcast series unpacking copyright basics for college faculty—libraries are increasingly creating digital learning objects to empower and support their communities.
Whether you’re new to instructional design or looking to refine your skills, this four-week course will help you build engaging digital learning experiences for your library community by exploring topics such as instructional design, learning technologies, accessibility, assessment, and the ongoing maintenance of digital learning objects. Not only will you develop a detailed plan for a digital learning object tailored to your library’s needs, but you’ll also be invited to create and receive feedback on a draft or prototype of your learning object.
Feel free to contact the instructor at jdstawar@syr.edu (opens in a new tab) with questions.
